Burning, numbness, tingling, sensitivity or balance changes can make everyday activities more difficult. Our free initial visit helps determine whether the Hamilton Health neuropathy protocol may be appropriate for you.
Peripheral neuropathy affects nerves located outside the brain and spinal cord. These nerves carry information between the central nervous system and the rest of the body, including signals involving sensation, movement and automatic body functions.
Neuropathy can have many causes, including diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, injuries, nerve compression, autoimmune disorders, infections, certain medications and inherited conditions. Symptoms alone do not identify the underlying cause, so appropriate medical evaluation may be necessary.
Because reduced sensation may make cuts, blisters, heat or pressure harder to notice, regularly inspecting your feet and discussing new symptoms with a qualified healthcare provider is important.
Our neuropathy evaluation includes a review of symptoms and medical history, a neurological and foot examination, sensory testing, balance or gait assessment and evaluation of reflexes and muscle strength.
At Hamilton Health, our complimentary initial evaluation is designed to document your sensory findings and determine whether our neuropathy protocol may be appropriate.

We assess how you respond to temperature, touch and other sensory input to better understand your symptoms.

Noninvasive thermal imaging helps us evaluate temperature patterns and circulation-related differences in the feet.

We review your symptoms, health history and evaluation findings, answer your questions and discuss appropriate next steps.

Daily use of the take-home Nerve Reviver for 90 days, supported by a documentation booklet to track symptoms and progress.
A planned series of shockwave sessions may be recommended to address appropriate soft-tissue and musculoskeletal factors associated with your condition.
When appropriate, our nurse practitioner provides individualized medical weight-management evaluations, including consideration of GLP-1 medications, ongoing monitoring and lifestyle support.
Some plans may include chiropractic care or spinal decompression when examination findings suggest that the spine or surrounding structures may be contributing to symptoms.
Scheduled 30-, 60- and 90-day check-ins allow us to review your response and modify recommendations when appropriate.
Services are recommended individually. Not every patient receives every component, and results vary. The program does not replace medical management of diabetes or another underlying cause of neuropathy.
